Claims and Complaints
Tenants 62 years of age and older, and those presenting with a disability as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act may seek exemptions from certain rent adjustments by submitting evidence of age and/or disability [Proof of age: U.S. Passport; U.S. or State-issued identification card; U.S. Birth certificate; or U.S. Driver’s license. Proof of disability: Order determining status arising from a capital improvement petition; award letter from the Social Security Administration with a Physician letter; letter from a Physician stating that I have a “disability” under the definition in the Americans with Disabilities Act ]
Tenants may also notify RAD of grievances regarding a housing accommodation or housing provider action(s) by submitting a complaint.
RAD also administers a COVID-related temporary exemption and complaint process.
Please note that in order for a tenant to submit these filings, he/she must first link his/her account to a housing accommodation. The tenant must provide proof of residence, which may include rent receipts, cancelled checks, or a copy of a lease.
